Spawned from New York City’s RiotGrrl underground, Ginger has evolved into a global nomad with a scratchy acoustic guitar, her style spanning catchy pop tunes, swampy blues, and primal rock ‘n’ roll. Her songs deal with sex and obsession, desire and rage, condensed to two and half minutes each and drawn from the sometimes-bumpy road of her travels. Musical heroes? Iggy Pop, Patti as well as Bessie Smith, Aimee Mann, Debbie Harry oh so many more. Whether busking on the street or on stages large or small, Ginger plays original songs and covers with a self-depreciating sense of humor that comes from not taking any of this too seriously.
